The European crisis, and the Italian in particular, is forcing also film festivals to drastic and painful downsizing. Unable to complete the traditional festival in 2013 as it was in previous years, Visionaria announces that this year the event will take a specific path of its own, and will be held in various locations from the beginning of August: some municipalities in the province of Siena, then Piombino (LI) and Siena itself.
In the municipalities of the province of Siena some appointments will be held with art films that, even after international awards, cannot be seen in cinemas and will be accompanied by meetings with directors and producers. Piombino will host the final session of the contest related to the International Competition. In Siena, in collaboration with the University, a three days meeting will take place, dedicated to art documentary, during which the winner of the “Punto Doc” competition will be screened and awarded. With regard to the Vision Art exhibition, contacts are ongoing to be able to create two exhibitions, one in Piombino and one in Siena, with the ten finalists.
